We were appointed by the main contractor at Millbank Reception Centre to supply and install over 100 fully certified fire-rated doorsets as part of a wider refurbishment project. The building remained live throughout the works, requiring careful planning, phased installation, and strict coordination to minimise disruption to staff and building users.

As the main contractor carried out extensive improvements across the site, our role focused on delivering a complete fire-door package, including:

100+ certified fire-rated doorsets

A mix of timber and steel doors

A fully compliant fire-rated shutter

Because the building was occupied, each phase was carefully managed, with only the areas where our team was working temporarily closed. This ensured the centre could remain operational and safe at all times.

We collaborated closely with the main contractor to align our schedule with that of other trades, ensuring smooth progress and minimising delays. Our team worked efficiently within the live environment while upholding the strict safety and compliance standards required for this type of facility.

The project was completed successfully across all phases, delivering full compliance and a significant improvement in the building’s fire-safety infrastructure. We received excellent feedback from both our client and the building’s users, recognising the quality of our installation and the professionalism of our on-site team.
